WHAT WE DO:
We perform voter registration (also available in the Town Clerk's Office), maintain voter lists, conduct elections, primaries and referenda.
Thompson has 4 voting districts:
District 1: Thompson Hill Fire Station, 70 Chase Road
District 2: Town Hall, Merrill Seney Community Room, 815 Riverside Drive
District 3: Quinebaug Fire Station, 720 Quinebaug Road
District 4: East Thompson Fire Station, 530 East Thompson Road

2018 VOTING SCHEDULE
Election Day November 6, 2018 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Curbside Voting: If you are disabled or have difficulty walking, you may vote in your vehicle at your regular polling places. Notify your election officials and your ballot will be delivered to your car.

In Person: Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 9:00 am - 8:00 pm Last day to register in-person at the Thompson Town Hall
Register by Mail: Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 last day to register by mail (must be postmarked by Oct. 30)
Register On-line: Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 last day to register on-line
Limited Session
After Oct. 30 and before Nov. 6, 2018, only those whose rights mature between those dates can register at this limited session and become eligible to vote on Nov. 6, 2018 may register.
On Monday, Nov.6, 2018 9:00 am - 5:00 pm those whose have attained Residency, Citizenship or 18 years of Age after October 30, 2018.
Election Day
Tues. Nov. 6, 2018 Election Day – Same Day Registration: Residents of Thompson who are not registered voters may register and be issued a ballot at the Registrars of Voters Office at the Town Hall on Election Day. Applicants must be US citizens, residents of Thompson and must have attained the age of 18 on or before November 6, 2018. Applicants should present identification and proof of residence (current license, utility bill, rent receipt etc) showing the applicant's name and street address in Thompson. After a check of the State of Connecticut's Voter Registration System to ascertain that the applicant has not voted in another Connecticut town, the applicant will be issued a ballot and allowed to vote. This process MUST be completed no later that 8:00 pm.
